This activity program is designed to help young people develop a sense of belonging and to support the integration of newly arrived children in the region into a new group. It also helps create connections with peers who share the realities and impacts of the military lifestyle.

Our facilitators offer a variety of dynamic activities such as group games, crafts, cooking workshops, and much more.

Youth community integration activities for ages 5–12 take place at both service points, in Saint-Jean and Saint-Hubert, at the Youth Community Integration Centre (see our program schedule for activity details and times).

Second Language Skills Development Support Program

Youth aged 6 and up receive a one-year subscription to a magazine in their second language to support their language learning. The subscription is valid for one year and includes 10 to 12 issues, depending on the magazine. This program is available from September to June. Limited spots.

Age: 6 and up
Cost: Free
Registration: Ongoing, via the MFRC portal. You will receive the first magazine toward the end of the month following your registration.

Youth Wellness Retreat

A wellness retreat is organized for youth ages 12–17. During this weekend, various themes will be explored with an intervention team in a fun and interactive way to equip youth, while also offering them a moment to pause and be present.

The weekend will take place at a resort/outdoor activity centre from Friday to Sunday. On-site activities may include outdoor, artistic, or other types of activities.

Through engaging and interactive sessions, participants will develop essential social skills, build meaningful connections, and gain the confidence needed to overcome social isolation caused by the impacts of the military lifestyle. Building strong peer connections will also help youth develop a support and peer-help network.
