Volunteering

The Military Family Resource Centre (MFRC) offers enriching volunteer opportunities that foster a sense of belonging, both for volunteers and for those who benefit from their actions, thereby creating a stronger community.

The MFRC’s mission is to encourage and support volunteer initiatives by providing tools and guidance and help participants integrate into the community by creating opportunities to gather and talk.

Regular activities and services

Volunteer opportunities

  • Community engagement mornings: Community members gather between 9:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. on Wednesdays in Saint‑Hubert and Thursdays in Saint‑Jean to volunteer for projects that are important to them and chat in a friendly environment. During these periods, the drop‑in daycare is available free of charge to preschool‑aged children of volunteers, upon reservation.
  • Board of directors: This volunteer board is composed mainly of serving members’ spouses and committed community members. It plays a key role in the organization’s decisions and direction.
  • Occasional volunteering: According to your availability and interests.
  • Volunteer initiatives: Have an idea for a project or activity in which you’d like to get involved? We’re here to support you and provide all the help you need to make it a reality.

Volunteer recognition

  • The MFRC recognizes its volunteers’ valuable contribution to its mission. Its recognition program is meant to highlight the commitment and involvement of its volunteers.
